U.S. Oil Refiners Seek Attention on Capitol Hill, July 20, 2014

The U.S. is on track to overtake Russia and Saudi Arabia as the world’s leading oil producer, as wells pump more oil than they have in 40 years. Still, U.S. refiners say they aren’t benefitting as much as others in the industry. So, lawmakers from nearly 30 states have formed a caucus to advocate for refiners’ needs. What will this new group say about some hot-button issues like U.S. oil exports? Program Host Bill Loveless will interview the co-chairman of the caucus Texas Republican Pete Olson.
